The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care focuses on the knowledge and skills required of early childhood educators who are responsible for maintaining healthy, safe and caring environments for children and for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services.

To be issued the qualification CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care you must be assessed as competent in all 28 units of competency which includes 23 core units and 5 elective units.

In order to provide you with a truly engaging learning experience, we offer training with a combination of face to face and online study. During class time, our highly experienced and knowledgeable trainers will train you on the theoretical aspects of your future occupation  as well as assist you in the development of the essential practical skills you would require to work in an early childhood education and care facility.

Requirements

Rhodes International College offers an open and inclusive learning environment for all students. However, there are some eligibility criteria that you are required to meet before you can be accepted into the course.

  • Classroom training
    15 hours per week over 2 days for term 1, 2 and 4
    7.5 hours per week for terms 5, 6, 7 and 8
  • Work placement – total hours 450 hours:
    15 hours (2 days per week) term 3
    7.5 hours (1 day per week) for terms 5, 6, 7 and 8
  • Online Study:
    5 hours per week all terms with trainer supervision

Classroom based training, including the simulated practical training will be delivered at the Rhodes International College campus located at: Suite 801A, Level 8, Rhodes Waterside, 1 Rider Boulevard, Rhodes NSW 2138

The course will be delivered in eight 10-week terms, including work placement, over a two (2) year period.

2021 term dates:

  • Term 3: 18th July to 25th September
  • Holidays: 26th September to 9th October
  • Term 4:  10th  October to 19th December

2022 term dates:

  • Term 1: 31st January to 10th April
  • Holidays: 11th April to 24th April
  • Term 2: 25th April to 3rd July
  • Holidays: 4th July to 17th July
  • Term 3: 18th July to 25th September
  • Holidays: 26th September to 9th October
  • Term 4: 10th  October to 19th December

Payment Schedule

The total tuition fee for the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is $20,800 plus a $200 non-refundable enrolment fee and a $500 material fee. The total amount of $21500 is payable through twenty three (23) monthly instalments of $935

To enrol into a course as an international student at Rhodes International College, you must complete an International Student Enrolment Form available here. The form should be completed in full and submitted by email to: info@ric.edu.au

The application for enrolment must be accompanied by:

• Evidence of meeting the English language requirements.
• Evidence of meeting the Academic entry requirements.
