The BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication is aimed at individuals who wish to provide leadership and support strategic direction in the marketing and communications activities of an organisation. Their knowledge base may be highly specialised or broad within the marketing and communications field. Typically, these senior level managers are accountable for group outcomes and the overall performance of the marketing and communication, advertising or public relations functions of an organisation.
To be issued the qualification BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication you must be assessed as competent in all 12 units of competency which includes 4 core units and 8 elective units.
The elective units of competency have been chosen to provide you with a broad set of skills including a higher level approach to holistic business direction planning and strategic implementation. Undertaking these electives will enable you to move into more senior marketing roles within an organisation and learn the necessary knowledge and skillset to develop a business and marketing strategy from an organisation’s infancy.
Structured learning during the course is supported by industry case studies and real world examples. Whilst this course is at times demanding and requires a significant amount of dedicated effort, it is a rewarding and enjoyable one for those who are passionate about marketing and improving their business acumen.

During class time, our highly experienced and knowledgeable trainers will train you on the theoretical aspects as well as assist you in the development of the essential practical skills you require, to become a future senior marketing executive.

Rhodes International College offers an open and inclusive learning environment for all students. However, there are some eligibility criteria that you are required to meet before you can be accepted into the course.
Entry to this qualification is limited to those who have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies):
Have completed BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication, or
• BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities
• BSBMKG542 Establish and monitor the marketing mix
• BSBMKG552 Design and develop marketing communication plans
• BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy
• BSBPMG430 Undertake project work
• Equivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent, or
• Have four (4) years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.
Students are required to provide their own laptop or any other smart device that is equipped with Microsoft Office 365 software or Office 365 and have intermediate computer skills.
International students must:
· Have a valid (completed in the last 2 years) IELTS* score of 5.5 or equivalent with no less than 5.0 in any band.
· IELTS is the preferred test for English proficiency; however, results of other testing systems may also be accepted. Students must show certified proof of their proficiency or proof of having passed an English Language Test in the last two years.
· English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
– Cambridge First Certificate of English – Grade C (162-168); or
– TOEFL Paper based (PBT) score of 525; or
– TOEFL Internet based (IBT) score 70; or
– TOEIC (list/Read-620; Speak/Writ-260); or
– PTE Score 42.
– Studied for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
– Undertaken at least 2 years of continuous study in accredited courses in Australia; or
· Been awarded a Certificate IV or higher qualification from an Australian education provider with a minimum study period of 12 months; or
· Successful completion of an English Placement Test.
Graduates in this course may be employed in a variety of roles including:
• Product Manager
• Public Relations Manager/Director
• Marketing Manager/Director
• Campaign Manager/Director
• Client Services Manager
The course will be delivered in four 10- week terms, including work placement.

5 hours per week, this can be done on campus or off-site
Self Study:
All classroom based training will be delivered at the RIC campus located at:

104 weekd (2 years) made up of eight (8) ten (10) week terms plus twenty-four (24) weeks of holidays.
